The Colour of Life is a multi-faceted organisation
and we run a number of programmes and projects aimed at young people,
local communities, schools, local government departments and other
corporations.
All of are programmes share the COL ethos
and include our main themes of work in education, music and cross
cultural exchange.

Since
2004 we have delivered our artist in residency enrichment programme
in primary schools across Greater London.
Our programmes last for
a minimum of 10 weeks to a full academic year ensuring that cultural
diversity is integrated within the national curriculum. Currently
we are working with the QCA ‘Respect for All’ to develop
lesson plans that will be used in conjunction with our programme.
Please contact us to discuss your individual schools needs.
If you would like to find out about running our programme at your
school contact us, we'll be happy to discuss.
We
have successfully coordinated for the Greenwich Council the first
Pan-African Festival in Greenwich and produced a youth magazine called
Nu Briton for teenagers aged between 13-15 years of age.
We have
contributed our services to organising a Global Youth Summit that
had representatives from Spain, Germany and Ghana and we are currently
working with the financial institution UBS and their Cultural Diversity
Network, to deliver a range of activities to celebrate their diverse
workforce.
We
have delivered various workshops in the community that have raised
the awareness of youth culture from Africa. We are currently developing
a new component to the programme that will strengthen the link
between youth in the UK and youth overseas.
For 2006 we celebrated Africa 05 in
collaboration with Africa Remix at the Royal Festival Hall and was
billed as the Pre concert to the Dizzi Rascal and Tony Allen concert
in the Main Hall.
