This is an introduction
to Africa and the musical instruments of West Africa. The children
will explore a variety of percussion, string and wind instruments.
They
will be taught a core multi-part rhythm with one these instruments
i.e. Djembe and will make an African instrument. This is supported
with a field trip to the Horniman museum where a workshop takes
place in the World Music Gallery.
